DECOMA provided engineering services for the seismic retrofit and connection of three existing unreinforced masonry buildings housing idealLab!’s Pasadena headquarters. Design parameters included tenant improvement modifications for an innovative, high-tech, open-space layout and a seismic plan that would not disrupt historical exterior facades or obstruct interior movement.
