DECOMA designed and completed the construction to retrofit this three-story historic brick building in Pasadena. Special design considerations were made to preserve its historic façade including hidden anchors. The unreinforced masonry walls required steel frames, concrete grade beams, and concrete shear walls on the first floor, with tension and shear anchoring throughout the second, third and roof framing level. |
